Shane Miller Obituary

Mr. Shane Paul Miller, 20, of 11830 Buffington Road, Woodsboro, died Monday, Sept. 17, at University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, as a result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Born Nov. 10, 1980, in Gettysburg, Pa., he was a son of James Herbert and Deborah Jean Smith Miller.

Mr. Miller was employed as a laborer by Bollinger Construction Co.

He was a 1998 graduate of Walkersville High School. He loved to hunt and fish.

Surviving in addition to his parents are two sisters, Shannon Lynn Clabaugh and husband Michael of Knoxville, and Jessica Ann Thompson and husband Steve of Macon, Ga.; maternal grandmother, Doris Smith of Middleburg; paternal grandparents, James R. and Mary Jean Miller of Emmitsburg; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Mr. Miller also will be remembered by his girlfriend, Amy Hauk of Frederick, and his friends, Kevin Beall of Keymar, Josh Wolf of Woodsboro, and Shawn Lewis of Mount Airy.

Friends may call at Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., Thurmont, from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where Christian Wake services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Deacon Darrell Smith of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Taneytown, will officiate.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Chapel of St. Mary on the Hill, Emmitsburg, with the Rev. Marty Field of St. Joseph's Catholic Church as the celebrant.

Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Emmitsburg.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shane P. Miller Burial Fund, c/o Robert E. Dailey & Son Funeral Homes, 1201 N. Market St., Frederick, Md. 21701.
