Shirley Krebs Obituary

Mrs. Shirley Martha Krebs, 47, of Taneytown, Md. died Saturday, May 27, 2006 at her home. She was the wife of Richard S. Krebs for 28 years.

Born February 22, 1959 in Woodbine, Md. she was a daughter of the late Carroll Leo and Madeline Stem Porter.

Mrs. Krebs had a passion for quilting, cooking and her grandchildren.

She was a member of Everybody's Quilt Guild.

She was a graduate of Westminster High School, Class of 1977.

Surviving in addition to her husband are daughter, April Paul and son-in-law Chris Paul of Littlestown, Pa.; son, Richard Krebs Jr. of Taneytown, Md.; three grandchildren, Taylor Paul, Brenden Paul and Ian Paul; two sisters, Carolyn Pope of New Market, Md. and Cathy Porter of Westminster, Md.; five brothers, Ed Allnutt of Knoxville, Md.; Dennis Porter of Westminster, Md.; Gary Porter of Woodbine, Md.; Randy Porter of Woodbine, Md.; and Mark Porter of New Windsor, Md.

She was predeceased by brothers, Wesley Allnutt and Carroll Leo Porter Jr. and sister, Rebecca Wilson.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, June 1 at Skiles Funeral Home, 136 E. Baltimore St., Taneytown, Md. Deacon Charles Barnhart Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday May 31 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Carroll Hospice, 95 Carroll St., Westminster, MD 21157.
