Walter Frear Obituary

Mr. Walter Frank Frear Sr., 69, of Damascus, died Tuesday, December 26, 2006, at Montgomery Hospice- Casey House in Rockville.

Born October 10, 1937 in Peckville, Pa., he was a son of the late Willard H. and Gertrude Berghauser Frear.

He was a devoted resident of the Damascus community since 1961. After retiring from more than 33 years of teaching at Damascus High School, Walt began his second career selling real estate for Long and Foster Realtors.

He is survived by five children, Cynthia L. Frear, Sherry A. Frear, E. Holly Klee and husband Paul, Valerie J. Gentry and husband Ken and Walter F. Frear Jr. and wife Angela; two grandchildren, Austin Gentry and Savannah Gentry; and a sister, Muriel Irwin and husband Bob.

Mr. Frear is preceded in death by a brother, Willard A. Frear; and a sister, Shirley M. Fina.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, at Molesworth-Williams Funeral Home, 26401 Ridge Road, Damascus.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Montgomery United Methodist Church, 28325 Kemptown Road, Damascus.

Entombment will be in the family mausoleum in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Peckville, Pa., at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to DHS Faculty Alumni Scholarship, sent to Damascus High School, 25921 Ridge Road, Damascus, MD 20872.
