During retirement, Alice and her husband Dave enjoyed spending time with their three grandchildren and splitting time between their home in McLean and their cottage on Lower Machodoc Creek near Montross, Va., (a.k.a. "The Rivah"). She was an active member of her church community as a Sunday school teacher, and member of the Altar Guild at St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church in McLean.
