Aline P. Burton
Aline Payne Burton, 77, of Falmouth died Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, at her residence.
She was a member of Falmouth Baptist Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Falmouth Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Robert Gilbert Burton; her son, Ollie Burton, and his wife, Darla; her daughters, Robin Groves and her husband, Marshall, and Gail Perry and her husband, Troy; brother Abbie Payne and his wife, Katherine; five grandchildren, Jonathon Hicks, Melanie Burton, Ashley Moore and her husband, Christian, Rob Burton and Trey Wallace; best friend Lorraine Cooper; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Pearl Payne; six brothers; and one sister.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 31, at Falmouth Baptist Church, with the Rev. Leslie A. Powers and the Rev. Jack A. Marcom Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Falmouth Baptist Church, 302 Colonial Ave., Fredericksburg, Va. 22405.
