Barbara Jean Berry, 75, of Stafford County went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014.
She was born June 29, 1939, the only child of Charles and Evelyn Norfolk in Fairfax.
Barbara was a graduate of Annandale High School. She was preceded in death by her one true love, James M. Berry, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Barbara was a wife, mother and homemaker. She also loved working for her Lord. She spent endless hours in his service as a Sunday school teacher, head of VBS program, and secretary and treasurer of her church, sang in the choir and volunteered at local nursing homes.
She is survived by her four children, Laura Berry Brown and husband Dero, J Michael "Mike" Berry and his wife, Lisa, and Nancy Berry Mizelle, all of Stafford, and Robert W. Berry and his wife, Margaret, of Spotsylvania County; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, at Covenant Funeral Services, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.A reception will follow at Riverside First Church of God, 3461 Fall Hill Ave., Fredericksburg, VA 22401
