Barbara A. Fletcher
Barbara Ann Fletcher, 63, of Spotsylvania County, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014, at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Fletcher had served in the U.S. Navy and retired from the Naval Reserve. She had retired as a human resources technician with Manpower and Reserve Affairs, Military Awards Branch HQMC.
Mrs. Fletcher was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge. She loved spending time with her family, her dogs and playing bingo. Mrs. Fletcher was a great wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Michael T. Fletcher; sons Joel Fletcher and wife Erica; and Gary Fletcher and wife Kate; brother Launnie Ginn; and grandchildren Matthew, Wesley and Emily.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at noon Thursday, Jan. 16, at the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the SPCA, 10819 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, VA 22408; or to the American Heart Association, Memorial Processing Center, Box 5216, Glen Allen, VA 23058.
