Beverly J. Hailstork
Beverly J. Hailstork, 63, of Stafford County passed away Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mrs. Hailstork was a member of Mount Hope Baptist Church-Brooke, where she was a member of the choir and gospel chorus. She was also a member of the Mount Hope Auxiliary. Mrs. Hailstork worked as a bus monitor for Stafford County schools, working with special needs children. She loved to sing and clean.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, James Hailstork; children Rodney Morton and wife Tina, Lamont Morton and Lorenzo Morton; grandchildren Sidney Juggins, Alicia Speed, Tyease Morton, Rodney Morton Jr. and Reese Juggins; four great-grandchildren; brothers Langston Johnson and wife Barbara, Terry Johnson and Timothy Johnson; sisters Laverne Williams and husband Robert, Trudy Kay and husband Jesse and Mitzy Johnson; sisters-in-law Thelma Alsop and husband Bland and Jocelyn Greenhow; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Delores Walker and Crystal Morton.
A service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, at Mount Hope Baptist Church, Stafford. The Rev. Ernest Woodson III will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and viewing one hour prior to the service at the church.
