Carolyn McLennan Obituary
Carolyn Jean McLennan passed into the loving arms of her savior Jesus Christ on September 26, 2022 in Locust Grove. Jean was born June 2,1928 and was the daughter of Beatrice Emerson and Robert Irving Coates.
Jean grew up in Luray and Alexandria. She attended Madison College and worked as a medical records librarian at Dewitt Army Hospital. In retirement, Jean enjoyed golf, Bible study, and time spent hosting family and friends.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents and by her devoted husband of 61 years, Russell Earl McLennan. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Wright (Boggs); grandchildren, Angela Corvin(Anthony), Russell Wright (Bridget) and Erin East (John); and great-grandchildren, Jacob Corvin, Jack East, Courtney East, and Teagan Wright.
The family wants to thank Jean's neighborhood friends who were such a support. A special thanks goes to the administration and caregivers of Trinity Senior Village.
