Rev. William's was a lovely, kind and caring person. I will miss his singing/playing the piano just as much as his preaching. He visited and preached several occasions at Clevers Oak Baptist church. May the peace of GOD comfort Rev. SIS. William, his son and family. GOD will sustain you.

Sending Sincere Prayer, Condolences and Love to My Sister-in- Christ, Rev. Linda V. Williams, Son, Michael and Family. My relationship with Rev. Clarence goes so far back to our Luray/Front Royal , VA days. He was a dear Friend and Pastor to me as long as he served me in that capacity. I had the pleasure of serving on the Trustee Board at First Baptist Church, Harrisonburg, VA and had an integral part in hiring him for the Church. Such a fine, educated and passionate preacher and singer! He was a teacher among teachers in God's Word! My honor to have served under and for him. May God Bless this Family and Receive Pastor Williams into Glory. He fought the good fight and was ready to receive his crown. May your transition into the next realm be glorious. Fly in Honor...

Growing up in Macedonia Community Baptist Church alongside my sisters Tameka Gatewood and Ashley Gatewood; Pastor Williams was a teacher, father and mentor towards us & to so many! He set the tone and paved the way and I'm so honored that I grew up around that leadership especially his gift in music. Because of him, I will never stop singing boldly for the Lord. We send condolences to First Lady and family. We love you all ❤

Reverend Linda Williams and all of Reverend Dr. Clarence Williams´ family and friends have my deepest condolences. Working Dr. Williams was an honor and privilege. I personally witnessed many of his numerous accomplishments and significant contribution to national defense and the Department of Defense mission. While accomplishing these great successes, he had a gentle demeanor, smile, and always offered up a kind word. On many occasions, his smile and upbeat greeting were the highlight of my day. I´m blessed to have had the opportunity to work with him. We are a better nation and better people because of his contribution and example.

To Linda Williams and family my condolences on the passing of 1SG Wiliams. I met Top back in 1993-1994 when we stood up the Army JROTC Program at Caroline HS. He served as the program's first Army Instructor. His position required exceptional skills as an instructor, counselor, problem solver, and role model. In every area, Top excelled. Despite the demands of the position, 1SG always made time to counsel and develop his cadets. He taught them to make good choices and to always seek self-improvement. Top was an inspiration to all with whom he came in contact. He will surely be missed. Rest in peace 1SG.

July 18, 2022

I had the pleasure of having 1SGT Williams as my JROTC instructor at Caroline High School from 2001-2004. As a teenager, I wasn't very motivated and lacked discipline and structure. Seeing this, 1SGT Williams spent more time with me then the average student, and in doing so, helped instill core values that would set me up for success in the future. Through the encouragement of 1SGT Williams, I completed a 4-year enlistment in the United States Marine Corps and am currently a graduate student at George Mason University, implementing the same life-strategies he taught me so long ago. I am so saddened to hear of his passing but find comfort that he lived such a long and fruitful life. 1SGT Williams' friends and family will be in my prayers.

Rest in peace, 1SGT
God Bless,

Pastor Williams and his first lady the Rev. Williams were always welcoming to me and an inspiration for the commitment they made to both ministry and community service. I have so many memories, but what stands out was his voice. In the South we mark the vocal prowess and musical talent of an individual by saying "They SANG!" Well, Pastor Williams was never happier in his worship and praise than when he gingerly made his way, well or ill, over to the keyboard, and led that choir. The music lifted him, the church, and his congregation. I was honored to stand on the watch with this great man of God. I know God will be faithful in His promises. I carry his memory and some part of his faith legacy with me as I remain. Rest easy, brother pastor. Well done, good and faithful servant.
