Geraldine McDaniel
Geraldine L. McDaniel, 81, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Dahlgren, died in Naples Monday, Feb. 14, 2005.
Born at Shiloh in King George County, Mrs. McDaniel had resided in Naples for 28 years. She retired from the Naval Surface Warfare Center, security division, and was a life member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She also was an artist. She was the widow of Ralph H. McDaniel.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Baird and her husband, Bob, of Sterling; a son, Lester R. McDaniel and his wife, Jenny, of Charlotte, N.C.; two sisters, Christine Lewis of Burgess and Mary Elizabeth Saunders of Alexandria; a brother, T. Eldred Lee of Fredericksburg; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 26, at Nash & Slaw Funeral Home, King George, with the Rev. William Price officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service time.
