Grace S. Bowie
Grace Stanley Bowie, 88, of Fredericksburg died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at the home of her daughter, Juanita Rouse of Partlow. She was the widow of William I. Bowie. She was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son, George Harold Stanley Jr. of Midlothian; daughters, Barbara Skinner of Woodford, Ethel "Sally" Hurlock of Richardsville, Gloria Golden of Fredericksburg, Frances Meadows and Juanita Rouse, both of Partlow; 22 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jean Henderson, and a son, William P. "Billy" Stanley.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg, with the Rev. Ernest Cornwell and the Rev. Stephen Dorton officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
