Jacquelyn Bowen Obituary

Jacquelyn E. Bowen

Jacquelyn E. Bowen, 62, of Paisley, Fla., formerly of Fredericksburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, after a long illness.

She was born Nov. 1, 1939 in Medford, Mass., the daughter of Joseph E. and Lynn T. Brown. Raised in Lancaster, N.H., she graduated from Lancaster High School and attended Plymouth Teachers College. She married Marshall E. Bowen in 1959, but was later divorced. Mrs. Bowen lived in Fredericksburg from 1965 to 1980, when she moved to Florida. For the past six months she lived with her daughter in Allen, Texas.

Family members include four children, Joseph E. Bowen of Tampa, Fla., Karen B. Schultz of Allen, Texas, Sandra L. Rivera of Woodstock, Ga., and James A. Bowen of Norcross, Ga.; a sister, Jann Simpson of Lancaster, N.H.; a brother, James E. Brown of Burlington, Vt.; and five grandchildren.

A funeral will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richardson, Texas on Friday, Aug. 23.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
