James "Jim" Feltner passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, in Spring Hill, Fla.
Jim was born on July 5, 1938, in Sunset Hills and was a resident of Spotsylvania County.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Knight, and husband Ken of Spotsylvania; daughter Melonee Duyanen of Lihue, Hawaii; grandchildren Greg Knight (Becky) and Pam Dickinson (Bryan), both of Spotsylvania, and Mandee and Dathan Duyanen, both of Hawaii; three great-grandchildren, Stephen Dickinson, William Knight and Emily Dickinson; his siblings, Ron Feltner of Castleberry, Fla., Tom Feltner of Chuckey, Tenn., Mary Harris of Spotsylvania and Lucille Carr of Winter Springs, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherwood and Evelyn Feltner; and sister Ruth Mobley.
Jim served in the Army National Guard from 1955 to 1963. He was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge and Spotsylvania Eagles. He enjoyed gardening and cooking for his many friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at Fellowship Baptist Church, 13737 Post Oak Road, Spotsylvania.
