James P. Morris

James P. Morris, 60 of Spotsylvania County passed away on Monday April 19, 2021.

Jim retired from Verizon in January 2020, and was an avid member of CWA Local 2201.

As everyone knows, Jim never met a stranger. He loved and cared for every person he met and would always talk and play with kids. Jim enjoyed life, loved cruising, fishing, hunting, and being with family and friends. Every Veteran he would say "Me and my family appreciate your service". He will be missed tremendously by all.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Renea Morris of Spotsylvania; three children Amanda Huffman (Mike) of Spotsylvania, Amy Huffman (David Taylor) of Spotsylvania, Jimbob Morris (Shelbie Barker) of Mineral; three-and-a-half grandkids Lexie Huffman, Hunter Huffman, Kylie-Jade Huffman, and one on the way, plus grand dogs; brother Joe Morris of Spotsylvania; sister Jenny Bartlett of Florida; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Morris; father Melvin Morris; and two brothers, Teddy and Bobby Morris.

The family will have a Celebration of Life in the future to honor Jimmy's memory and his wishes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's in his honor.
