Junior Roberts Obituary
Junior Roberts
Lawrence Carl Roberts Jr., 77, of Spotsylvania County passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007. Known as Junior, he was an active member of Traveler's Rest Baptist Church and was a lifetime member of Spotsylvania Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ruby V. Roberts; a son, Daniel Roberts and his wife, Janet; a daughter, Diane Lee and her husband, Bruce; sisters, Catherine Naninga and Earlene Michaliga; grandchildren, Carl, April, Michael and Sandi and her husband, Josh; and two great-grandchildren, Ruby and Wesley. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Virginia Bookhammer.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Oct. 10, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Spotsylvania Chapel, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral will be held Thursday, Oct. 11, at Traveler's Rest Baptist Church at 11 a.m., with a reception to follow in the church fellowship hall. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Traveler's Rest Baptist Church Education Fund, 6823 Partlow Road, Spotsylvania, Va. 22553.
