Lois H. Doleman

Lois H. Doleman, 84, of Montross, widow of James Henry Doleman, passed awayThursday, Nov. 29, 2012.

She was postmaster of Zacata Post Office for 34 years and a member of the National Association of Postmasters, USA, the Chantilly Chapter DAR and Currioman Baptist Church, where she served as financial secretary and, for 70 years, as organist.

She was the daughter of the late Murray T. and Ellie C. Scrimger Henderson. She is survived by daughters Sharon D. Stuart and husband Charles E. Stuart III of Montross, LoisLynn Hazelwood and husband Ernest L. Hazelwood Jr. of Midlothian, and Susan D. Halley and husband Lawrence C. Halley Jr. of Richmond. She is also survived by grandchildren Christian James Halley of New Orleans and Lauren Grant Halley of Richmond.

Mrs. Doleman was preceded in death by her sisters, Earlene Henderson and Mildred H. Pitts; and grandson Charles Edward Stuart IV.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, at Welch Funeral Home, Montross Chapel.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Currioman Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
