Mary Davey Obituary
Mary Jane Davey, 80, of Fredericksburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at home with her husband and niece Jan Arculeo, who was her full-time caregiver, by her side.
Mary worked as a contract specialist for the U.S. Government. She loved flower gardening, crocheting, and collecting dolls. She was an avid animal lover and a rescuer of many cats.
Survivors include her husband, Glenn W. Davey; siblings, Judith H. Metts (Thomas) and Dolores H. Doxey; sister-in-law, Ida Harmon; brother-in-law, Bruce Davey (Cindy); and many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Hallie Harmon; brothers, Clifford Harmon, Jr (Bernice), Billy G. Harmon, Sr (Ruby), and John R. Harmon, Sr; and sisters, Ellen H. Phillips (CB) and Nancy H. Morgan (Claude).
A service will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025, at Covenant Funeral Service, Stafford. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Regester Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. A reception will follow the interment at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rikki's Refuge, the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Association.

Aunt Mary Jane was a sweet and creative woman. She is loved dearly by all of my family and the many cats who enjoyed her company. Im going to miss visiting her and seeing all of her beautiful crochet angles on her Christmas tree. We love you

I only met Mary a couple of times through her sister Dolores. We all have a love of cats and Mary needed help with some feral cats she was feeding. I remember her being a very, very kind woman. My condolences to her husband, to Dolores, and to the rest of the family.
