Mary Pruitt Obituary
Mary Cathrine Pruitt, 72, was called home on April 17, 2021, surrounded by her family at home in Fredericksburg, VA. She was born on July 30, 1948, in Carroll County, MD to Clarence & Helen Lawhorn. Mary grew up in Rockville, MD. She graduated from Gaithersburg HS in 1967. After graduation, she married Benjamin F. Pruitt Jr. and they were joyously married for 53 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend.
Mary is survived by her husband Ben of Fredericksburg, VA; son Wes Pruitt of Waxhaw, NC; daughter Tammy Johnson of Fredericksburg, VA; sister Wanda Prideham of Frederick, MD; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
