Jason Short Obituary
Jason was born March 9, 1972, in Toledo, Ohio, the son of Rick and Kay (Ames) Short.
He graduated from Coldwater (Michigan) High School in 1990. He attended Kellogg Community College.
Jason married Melissa A. Boston on October 14, 1995, in Angola, Indiana, and she survives.
He was employed at Steel Dynamics in Columbia City, Indiana, as a steel worker for the last 19 years.
Jason's hobbies were work, Youtube, big foot, conspiracy theories, fishing with his best friend — Haroun Miller — and storage unit auctions.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Short, of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; his five children, Alexandria, Chase, Zane, Zahvia and Zeke Short, all of Pleasant Lake, Indiana; his father and stepmom, Ricky and Anita Short of Jonesborough, Tennessee; three brothers, Erin and (Valerie) Short of South Carolina, Michael and (Ellie) Short of Jonesborough, Tennessee, and Dustin and (Kristy) Short of Johnson City, Tennessee; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Ella Boston, of Coldwater, Michigan; many nieces and nephews, and his favorite doggies, Savannah, Sadie and Sierra.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kay Short.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2018, at Beams Funeral Home, Fremont, Indiana.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2018, at Faith Baptist Church, 560 W. County Road 400 North, Angola, Indiana, with Pastor Bob Koenig and Pastor Denver DeKeyser officiating.
Burial will follow services in Jamestown Cemetery, Fremont, Indiana.
Memorial donations in Jason's memory are requested in care of the family.
