Norma Polley Obituary
Norma was born in Baltimore, Maryland and resided in places including Florida, North Carolina, Maryland and Virginia. She was a well known resident of Stafford County for over fifty-eight years and held degrees in Graphic Art Design and Special Education. As a lover of music and the arts, she and her late husband, Dick T. Polley, were founding investors of the Riverside Dinner Theatre. She was a member of St. Mathias Church in Stafford and a long-time member of the DAR (50+ years). A dedicated fan of history and genealogy, she spent countless hours researching her family tree and helping others research theirs.
Norma lived a full life and was able to enjoy four generations of her family. She is survived by her two daughters Dr. Karen Vleck, and Renee Best, a stepdaughter Patricia Kessler, and a son Andrew Polley. She also had six grandchildren (Jessica Hurst, Erin Lambert, Jeremy Best, Crystal Spiker, David and Gregory Kessler) and five great-grandchildren (Annie Hurst, Gibson Hurst, Amaya Lambert, and Amber and Jake Kessler.
A celebration of Life Memorial memorial service will be held in May. She will be buried at Quantico Cemetery along side her late husband, Master Gunnery Sergeant Dick T. Polley, USMC. More details will be forthcoming.

I am so very sorry to find that Ms. Polley had passed away. I met her years ago in the Stafford Com of Revenue´s office . We became very good friends. I went with her to Riverside Theater. We had great conversations. I would get the biggest kick out of her. We both had Dr Larson an orthopedic doctor. We both thought the world of the world of him. Fly high Ms Polley. Until we meet again.....

I knew "Miss Polley" through the Circuit Court Clerk's office when I was a title insurance agent. She was an indefatigable source of knowledge, style, and positive outlook. The world is a bit dimmer without her. My condolences to her family.
