Norman Elwell Sedgley, 92, of Stafford County passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mr. Sedgley was a U.S. Army veteran, 106th Infantry Division, having served during World War II.
He is survived by his loving family: daughter Ellen Anderson (Mark Johnson); grandchildren Christopher Anderson and Jennifer Bartholomew (Tony); and great-grandchildren Lillian and Jacob Bartholomew.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Clara Sedgley, and his son-in-law, Ralph E. Anderson. He also leaves behind his friends and extended family at the Massad Family YMCA.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Massad Family YMCA, 212 Butler Road, Falmouth, VA 22405.
