Patricia "Tricia" Sue Bowles Tracy, 75, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on October 11, 1950, in Richmond, VA, Tricia was the daughter of the late Joseph Ira Bowles and Dorothy Elizabeth Davis. She lived a life full of warmth, compassion, and dedication to others-values that shaped every chapter of her personal and professional journey.

Tricia began her career as a school psychologist in the Stafford County school system, where she made a meaningful difference in the lives of countless students and families. Her professional path later led her into real estate, where she became a successful and trusted agent in the Fredericksburg area. She concluded her career at Mary Washington College in 2004, bringing her wisdom and work ethic to the academic community she deeply admired.

Tricia's greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Arthur Tracy; her devoted children, Joseph Tracy (Erika), Pierce Tracy (Lauren), and Lisa Matthews (Todd); and her adored grandchildren, Lucas Matthews, Jacob Matthews, Charlotte Matthews, Owen Tracy, and Olivia Tracy. She also leaves behind her cherished sisters, Bettilu Fletcher and Marilyn Hurt.

A woman of quiet strength and endless generosity, Tricia loved spending time at the beach, cheering on her children at their sports games, and enjoying the companionship of her beloved dog, Alice. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

A celebration of Tricia's life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to a local animal rescue or children's education charity of your choice.
