Ralph Nelson Shade, 82, of King George, VA, departed this life on December 20, 2024.
He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Penny; eight children, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, two sisters; and a host of other relatives.
A viewing will be held at First Church Ambar, 9469 Caledon Road, King George, VA, 22485, on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. The interment will follow at Historyland Memorial Park in King George, VA.

May God continue to be with the Shade family. I will forever treasure the memories of Ralph and myself preparing the warehouse for Saturday morning business as we got things in order for a long day at Powells Warehouse. He would always go to the fasmart and purchase a (3) piece chicken dinner, and the thigh would always be mine. Then I would be offered half of his fig bars also. I always think back to those days. Love you Ralph!
