Robert Greenwood
Robert "Pete" Greenwood, 77, of King George County entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, peacefully in his home.
Pete was a longtime resident of King George. You could find him daily at Howard's Restaurant. On Friday night you could find him at a Foxes home football game or, if the weather permitted, you would see him on his Harley.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. After serving in the Air Force, he became a member of the Union Steamfitters Local 602. He retired after 32 years and remained an active member for a total of 51 years.
He is survived by two daughters, April Phillips and husband Steven and Kimberly Warner; three sons, Jason Greenwood and fiancee Nicole, Michael Greenwood and wife Tonya and David Greenwood; nine grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Candice, Alexis, AJ, Jaylin, Cameron, Cassie and Cody; three great-grandchildren, Aydin, Ashton and Noah; numerous nieces and nephews; two brothers; and two special friends, Donna and Larry.
He was preceded in eternal rest by his beloved daughter Juanita Greenwood; a sister, Christine; and brothers.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday Sept. 25, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 10640 Kings Highway, King George, VA 22485, with the Rev. Sherman Davis officiating.
Interment will be private.
