Rosalie Galyen Obituary

Rosalie A. Galyen

Rosalie Ann Galyen, 57, of Fredericksburg died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014, at her home.

Ms. Galyen had worked as a nurse at Rappahannock Regional Jail and Mary Washington Hospital. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her children, April Gaddy (Paul) and Tommy Payne (Stephanie); brothers Michael L. Galyen, Charlie Squires and John Squires; sisters Cathy G. Hairfield, Beatrice Spindle and Laurie Squires; and grandchildren Emma Payne, Cayleigh Payne and Olivia Spindle. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Galyen and Patricia Squires, and her sister, Donna Makoutz.

A service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends following the service until 4:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 42470 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060, or to Mary Washington Hospice, 5012 Southpoint Parkway, Fredericksburg, VA 22407.
