Thomas Sofis Obituary

Thomas George Sofis, 94, of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, died on April 13, 2025, in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Thomas was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to George and Lucy Sofis. Thomas attended United States Military Academy at West Point before joining the United States Force as a pilot and then moved to Italy to work for Reynolds company before forming Findal, an aluminum company in Bergamo, Italy.
Thomas is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Theresa Marieni, his brothers, Epaminondas (Rick) and George (Zoro) Sofis. He is survived by his son, George Thomas Sofis, his wife, Lara, and their six children, Annamarita, Thomas, Emma, Audrey, Stone, and Luke. He is also survived by his brother, Constantine (Gus) Sofis and his wife, Francis, and his sister-in-law, Nancy and her children Alexandra, Diana, and Christopher.
His ashes will be spread into the Aegean Sea as per his wishes.
