William Archie Keys, 87, of Stafford County died at his residence Friday, May 4, 2001.
Born in Dumfries, Mr. Keys had retired from the National Bank of Quantico, where he worked from 1942 to 1975. He was a member of the John A. LeJeune Masonic Lodge in Quantico for 55 years and was a member of Dumfries United Methodist Church.
He was the widower of Dora Louise Liming Keys.
Survivors include three daughters, Bonnie Keys Pattie and Susan Keys Sutherland, both of Stafford, and Elaine Keys Beckham of King George County; a sister, Emmit Keys Waters of Dumfries; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was also the father of the late William Archie "Archieball" Keys.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Dumfries Cemetery, with the Rev. Henry Amidon officiating.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to Mary Washington Hospice, 2217 Princess Anne St., Fredericksburg, Va. 22401.
Johnson Funeral Home, Locust Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
