Willie Howard Fleming, 66, of Fredericksburg passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016, at his home.
Mr. Fleming was a graduate of Stafford High School. He had worked for RF&P Railroad and had retired from CSX after more than 40 years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Fleming; two sons, Willie Howard Fleming Jr. of Stafford County and Jeffrey Fleming and wife Kathy of Spotsylvania County; six grandchildren, Samantha Bates and husband Jefferson, and Ashley, Amber, Jeffrey and wife Blake, Will and Seth Fleming; six great-grandchildren, Serenity, Fay Fay, Addy, twins Isabelle and Isaac, and Avayah; his father, Howard Fleming of Stafford; two brothers, Jerry and Howard Lee Fleming; and two sisters, Norma Gilbert and Mildred Kordich. He was preceded in death by his mother, Scharlotte Fleming; and great-grandson Jeffery Fleming III.
After Willie retired he treasured the time spent with his family and friends. He enjoyed going to the railroad luncheons to visit with his fellow co-workers. Helping his family and friends made him happiest.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 8, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at noon Saturday, April 9, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
