Carole Bohnert Obituary

Mrs. Reuben E. Bohnert, nee Carole Ann Hext of Fredericksburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the age of 81 years.

Carole Ann Hext was born on April 2, 1942 in Fredericksburg, Texas to John Daniel and Dorothy Pyka Hext.

She married Reuben E. Bohnert on Sept. 2, 1961 at St. Austin's Catholic Church, Austin, Texas.

Mrs. Carole Bohnert is survived by her husband:

Reuben E. Bohnert of Fredericksburg

Son and spouse: Keith and Letty Bohnert of Fredericksburg

Grandson: Ryan Bohnert

Great-granddaughter: Magnolia Bohnert

Brother and spouse: John and Janet Hext of Fredericksburg

Carole is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon Elaine Bohnert; and two brothers, Ricky Hext and Robert Hext.

The family had a visitation on Tuesday, May 2, from 1 to 2 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Mass of Resurrection at 2 p.m.

Graveside services and interment followed in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Ryan Bohnert, John Hext, Dale Pyka, Paul Pyka, Jared Kraus and Louie Guajardo.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given in her name to the charity of your choice.
