After his military retirement Danny and family moved back to Fredericksburg and he began working for Culligan Water Conditioning. He enjoyed his job especially meeting new people and daily conversations with old friends.

Danny enjoyed going to band competitions for his son Scott and softball summers with his daughter Pam.
