Jerry Bill Obituary
Jerry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose hard work and creativity touched everyone around him. A gifted jeweler and artist, he began his career at James Avery, where he also met the love of his life, Patricia "Patsy" Ontiveroz. The two married on September 3, 1977, in Fredericksburg, beginning a lifelong journey together filled with love, faith, and family. Jerry went on to share his craft for more than 20 years at Jeep Collins, where his artistry continued to shine. Jerry and Patsy were blessed with two children-welcoming their daughter on January 15, 1980 and their son on February 20, 1985-who became the pride and joy of his life. A passionate baseball player, Jerry spent many years with Fredericksburg's local league, always carrying a love for the game. He found peace and fulfillment outdoors, working from dawn to dusk on his ranch and cherishing time under the open sky. Summers often meant camping trips to Garner State Park, where he made countless memories with his family. Above all, Jerry treasured moments spent with his children and grandchildren, who brought him endless happiness.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother: Oralia Bill of Kerrville. Brother: Ellis Jr. Bill of Fredericksburg. Spouse: Patricia "Patsy" Bill of Fredericksburg. His son: Matthew Bill of Fredericksburg.
He is survived by his daughter and spouse: Lisa and Chris Muniz. 5 grandchildren: Cassandra-Lisette Muniz, Laura Muniz, Victoria Muniz, Pablo Muniz of Boerne; and Hunter Bill of Fredericksburg. Father: Ellis Bill of Kerrville. Brothers: Gilbert and Mario Bill of Kerrville. Sisters: Melinda Barker of Ohio and Nelda Bill of Kerrville.
A public visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 am on Monday October 6, 2025 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. A recitation of the rosary will begin at 9:30am followed by a mass of the resurrection at 10 am. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please donate in his name to a charity of your choice.
