DAVID W. August 10, 2016. Age 67. Beloved husband of Alison Gravlin for 42 years. Loving father of Chris (Kelli) and Andrew. Proud and adored grandfather of James (Stevens), Mara and Natalie. Dear son in law of Alfred Murphy. Throughout his life he proudly served 12 years on Wexford Parkhomes Board of Directors as well as working 40 years in offices at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. David was a member of Theta Xi Fraternity and an avid Red Wings fan. Memorial Visitation Friday 3-9 p.m. at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons Inc., 36900 Schoenherr Rd at Metro Parkway (16 Mile). Memorial Mass Saturday 10 a.m. at St. John Fisher Church 3665 E. Walton Blvd. (E. of Squirel Rd.). Share memories with the family at their "On-Line Guestbook" at

Dave was a Fraternity Brother and a friend. In his profession he also provided comfort that helped my family during our times of sorrow. He was a credit to his profession and a true brother in the bonds of Theta XI. God Bless You David.

Jean and I spent many years with Dave at Cardiac Rehab. He was a gentle man, with a soft voice and a big heart. I will miss him at Duffy's.

Our deepest sympathy for you all at this very sad time. We will always have good memories with David. The 4th of July parade was special for him up at the lake, he never had enough candy to throw to the kids!
Another memory is David and Dale on the couch watching tv. Dale loved all his attention. Rest in peace David.

Alison and family,
I am very sad to hear the news of David's passing. For 10 years he filled me with vast knowledge of Holy Sepulchre that I still use today. My heart goes out to you all and will keep you In my thoughs and prayers. There really are not words. Bless you.
