Donald Everett Ballinger, 85, passed away January 16, 2017. He was born July 10, 1931 in Rock Island, IL. He graduated from Rock Island High School and attended St. Ambrose College.
He served his country in the USAF. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret and father, Floyd Ballinger; his loving wife of 44 years, Clara M. Stinson. He is survived by his brother, Richard Ballinger and his wife Nancy of Rock Island, IL.
He is survived by his children, Katie and Brian Duy of Oswego, IL; Gregory and Carla Ballinger of Fort Worth, TX; Paul and Julie Ballinger of Montgomery, IL and Robert Ballinger of Chicago, IL. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He spent most of his life in the Oil and Gas business and was an avid fisherman and held a special place in his heart for the Chicago sport teams. While in Humble, TX he enjoyed his many business relationships, friends and neighbors and appreciated their presence in his life.
Rosewood Funeral Home in Humble will have a memorial page for any notes or sympathies that can be left for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
