Had Mr Leach for chemistry class at Plymouth Salem High School back in the early 70s. A wonderful teacher who had a real passion for his work. R.I.P. Mr Leach

Lloyd was a brilliant Chemistry teacher and a warm and personable human being....a once-in-a-lifetime teacher. To his family, I say I send my deepest condolences. He touched so many lives. Godspeed Lloyd.

My name is Johnny Aho and I was a chemistry student of Mr Leach ( it's difficult thinking of calling him something else even though I am 48 years old! ) in 1985-1986, and then his lab assistant from 86-87. I have shared this in other contexts, but I didn't like Mr. Leach because he was so tough. And then he became my favorite teacher of all time because he was so tough! I had a B the first marking period and then a D the second and third marking. I thought about dropping the class until my senior year but then he suggested I come in and he would tutor me. So I spent many lunches with him and sometimes after school to end up with a B the last marking period and an A- on the final exam. He and I were both surprised! Being his lab assistant for my senior year was very rewarding. I enjoyed being with him and talking about cars, and having the privilege of going to his house to see his collection. When I had chemistry on a college level, I did not have a professor that was stellar. I ended up calling Mr. Leach multiple times to be tutored over the phone! I am so glad that he and I touched base again about eight months ago and went out for coffee with his wonderful bride Betty. I know he will be missed by all. Mr. Leach was definitely one of those teachers who didn't teach a subject. He taught students!

I credit my love for chemistry to Mr. Leach. Had him for two classes in the early 70s. He was a great teacher!
