I called to make an appointment with Dr. Stone today and was told this devastating news. I had no idea he was gone. He was the best ENT, and always took great care of me. I don´t know who else I will trust with my many ear issues. May he rest peacefully and prayers to his family.

I am so sad and shocked to hear of Dr. Stone´s passing. Not only did he take great care of my two children when they required ear surgery, but many years later I recommended Dr. Stone to a family that was extremely happy with his care. I am quite broken up by this news. He was such a gentle and kind man, and he made a very difficult period in our family´s lives much more tolerable. I was searching for Dr. Stone for my now adult daughter to return to him, but I find this heartbreaking news instead. Im not surprised to see the outpouring of loving words about Dr. Stone years after his passing. This is such a huge loss.

Dr. Stone will be sorely missed by me. He was my ENT for years. I last saw him in 2019 as a patient. He nicknamed me "Trouble," because I was in his office often. He had be greatest smile, and most pleasant personality. He has left a huge void as one of the best ENTs in Oakland County. May the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob give him eternal rest. Though I was a patient of his, he was like a friend to me.

I’m so sorry to hear that Dr. Stone passed away. He’s been my doctor for more than a decade and he’s done four sinus surgeries on me. His confident but joking nature always put me at ease. It felt more like he was a friend than my doctor. I’m truly heartbroken.

Please know that he made a difference in the life of our son. This saddens our hearts. Our prayers are with his family.

To the family of Dr. Michael Stone. I've been extremely blessed to have had a wonderful line of doctors, specialists and surgeons during my time. February 2019 I was diagnosed with a rather large tumor in my neck and Dr. Weingarten referred me to Dr. Stone as the surgeon to carefully remove the mass. My family grew fond of Dr. Stone's personality, care and professionalism during a time of uncertainty. My family offers our condolences and prayers to a wonderful man. He changed countless lives with his dedication and commitment to the medical field to provide better/healthier lives moving forward. I'll always remember you Dr. Stone. Thank you so much.

I was shocked to hear the news today about Dr. Stone. A while back, I needed to have surgery and had talked to a couple of doctors. My personal physician could tell I was still on the fence and recommended that I get another opinion. He recommended I see Dr. Stone. I went to his office for a consult and inside of 5 minutes after meeting him, I said to myself, this is the guy. He lit up the room :). I knew I was in good hands from that point on. Needless to say, surgery went great. He was a skilled surgeon and an even better person. I am a huge fan of Dr. Stone! I was so very sorry to hear of his passing. May God bless him and his family. May his memory be eternal.

Dr. Stone treated my special needs son, Jonathan, and me. He always had a smile and made our visits easier. Jonathan loves Dr. Stone and tells everyone how wonderful he is. I spent years with dizzy spells and progressive hearing loss. A different ENT told me I would have to learn to live with it. Within the first several months Dr. Stone had found the issue and remedied both the dizziness and hearing loss. He was a gifted diagnostician as well as a pleasure to visit. Our hearts are breaking with this loss. Our family will be praying for his family and friends for comfort at this great loss.

I have been a Huntington Road neighbor of Mike's for years. I never got to know him real well, but could tell what a good person he was just from casual meetings. He always had a smile and wave as he walked his dog around the block. I played pick up basketball with him few times at the recreation center, and it was impossible not to be lifted by his good nature. Maybe my most distinct memory was of the utter joy that he exuded as he screamed out the window of his car, gleefully taunting me and my boys, since our kids were squaring off in a big Dad's club baseball game later that day. He obviously loved his kids, his community, and his life. My heart goes out to his family and friends.

Mike was loved by so many and for so many glorious reasons i.e. kindness, intellect, empathy, humor, integrity, generosity, competence, faithfulness and loyalty. How painful this must be for you Nancy and the family. My prayer is that you and your family will reach the time quickly when that pain of loss will ease and be replaced with all the joyful memories you have of shared time.

I don't know what to say. I was a patient of his. I first met him in December 2005 after his partner performed emergency surgery on me and my follow up was with Dr. Stone on December 23rd. I remember him making me laugh - he took the risk of a making a joke. I have seen him a number of times and it was always a great experience. The last time I was in I had a hearing check and he told me everyone was wrong, I could hear, I just didn't listen. We then talked about one of my hobbies. He always had an positive demeanor.

Dr. Stone was a great, kind and funny man. I babysat his kids when they were young and still saw him as my ear Dr. He always would come home from work and also when seeing me in his office with the most cheerful “hi Melis!” He loved his old dog Lucy and would walk her everyday after work no matter what. He loves his plants and his yard and most of all he loved his kids. He was a great dad, Dr, husband and a good friend to many people. He will be missed. I am still in shock and hope he is in a good place.

Dear Stone family:
I just wanted to say that I had the great pleasure of working with Dr. Stone in the last 1990's early 2000's. What a sweet, unassuming man and then he would make a comment that would just leave you with a huge smile! I was an Audiologist with Ear, Nose & Throat Consultants and he was such a great doctor who really balanced out a great set of Ear, Nose & Throat docs. My prayers to all who are grieving.

To the Stone Family, Michael (Stoney) was one of the junior residents when I started my fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery at Cincinnati in '96. We worked closely together for 2 years and he was smart, caring and made long hard days fun with his energy and perpetual smile. I loved teaching him. We kept in touch over the years at professional meetings and we always shared a laugh. He will be missed. May you find peace in knowing that he brought joy to many, especially his patients. His was a life well-lived in service to others. RIP, Stone...RIP.
