Dear Nina,
I am so sorry for your loss. I first met Bob at the BAC, as our lockers were adjacent. I told him his parents address, as I was their paper boy after he had left the roost.
I knew him to be much liked and highly regarded, and the only time I found that not to be true was when I met him on the doubles court.
In short, he was a darned nice guy, and will be missed by all who knew him.

We were very good friends at our school, including on Sundays. He was so very smart, thoughtful, and witty to be with. He was such a wonderful young man! -- Ed Germain

Nina,
We were so saddened to hear about Bob. Such a genuine, authentic, caring person. Every time we'd see him he had a smile on his face...made you feel that all is right in the world. David and I are sending much love your way.

Nina, I'm so sorry to hear about Bob. He was on of my favorite people at the BAC. We had many years of fellowship and squash. He was always kind and generous to everyone and he showed it with a wonderful sense of humor and a big smile. He will be missed by all.

Oh Nina, I'm so sorry to hear this news. I still remember chatting with you and Bob in my kitchen on Fairfax when first you started dating, how happy you both were, and thinking how wonderful it was that you found each other. I also remember Bob vividly at a crazy dinner party my mom threw when I was in junior high (I think?) that was very very fancy until the waiter came out with a gigantic covered platter of MacDonald's, which he opened first for Bob, because my mom thought he would laugh the hardest at the joke. Sending lots of light and love your way. Hugs to you.

I remember Bob Machus from my days working on the Golf staff at Orchard Lake Country Club. He was an incredibly kind and generous man. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family
