Gene L. Blank, 69, of Fremont, NE, passed away, Friday, September 20, 2024, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.
Gene was born October 6, 1954, in Wahoo, NE, to Harry and Arlene (Hilkemeier) Blank. He graduated from Fremont High School in 1972 and continued his education at Metro Tech Community College. He married, Pat Boston, in 1973, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont. Gene was employed by Valmont and Hormel. He retired from Sitel as a computer programmer. Gene and Pat attend the Fremont Alliance Church in Fremont. Gene was a devoted husband of 50 years, father, and grandfather. The family meant the world to him. In his spare time, Gene enjoyed photography.
Gene is survived by his wife, Pat of Fremont; son, Brian Blank and significant other, Lorie of Omaha; daughters, Becky (Shawn) Kellogg of Fremont and Beth (James) Farmer of Bruno, NE; sister, Cheryl Kroenke of Omaha; 13 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Ahl; and mother-in-law, Susan Boston.
The funeral will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, September 26, 2024, at the Fremont Alliance Church. Family will receive friends from 5:00 PM, until 7:00 PM, Wednesday, at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
