Joan McCauley Obituary

The funeral for Joan P. McCauley, 65, of Cedar Bluffs will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Bluffs.

She died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006, at her home.

Joan P. Pollock was born Aug. 2, 1941, in Fremont to John and Helen Mae (McArtor) Pollock. She grew up in Fremont and was a 1959 graduate of Fremont High School. She married Robert R. McCauley on April 17, 1960, at the First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Bluffs. They moved to Cedar Bluffs in May of 1963. She worked as a nurses aide at Haven House Nursing Home in Wahoo for about 10 years.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Cedar Bluffs and the Eagles Club in Wahoo.

Survivors include: her husband, Robert of Cedar Bluffs; a daughter, Shamra (Mrs. Joel) Figueroa of Cedar Bluffs; a son, Robert E. McCauley of Cedar Bluffs; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

The Rev. Rob Spykstra of the Evangelical Free Church in Fremont will officiate Tuesday's service. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs. Visitation also will be one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Cedar Bluffs.

A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
