The funeral for Mabel M. Zimmerman, 93, of Fremont will be 1 p.m. Friday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
She died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at Nye Pointe Health & Rehabilitation Center in Fremont.
She was born Nov. 23, 1911, in Wilsonville to John C. and Elsie (Harding) Brouhard. She grew up in Hendley and graduated from high school there in 1928. She was a graduate of Kearney State College. She taught grade school at Edison for four years at Frederick, Colo., for 13 years and at Longmont, Colo., for two years. She lived in Longmont until 1994, then lived in California for one year and came to Fremont in 1995.
She married Emil Zimmermann on Nov. 27, 1928, in Beaver City. He died May 28, 1992.
She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Fremont. She was a member of American Association of Retired Persons and a past member of several teachers associations.
Survivors include: two daughters, June Baxter of Marietta, Minn., and Gwen Eggers of Fremont; two sons, Curtis (and wife, JoAnn) Zimmerman of San Diego and Clarence Zimmerman of Rising City; seven grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, a son-in-law, a brother, six sisters and a great-great-grandson.
The Rev. Greg Hall of First United Methodist Church in Fremont will officiate Friday's service. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hollst Lawn Cemetery in Yutan.
