Quitanna Rene Montanye, 38 yrs of Fremont, NE, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2025.
Quitanna was born on December 4, 1986 to James "Russ" Godwin and Julie (Houser) Godwin in Fremont, NE. After her birth, her family lived briefly in Stone Mountain, GA, but returned to Fremont, NE in 1987. In 2012 Quintanna obtained her GED. On February 13, 2014 Quintanna & Travis Montanye joined in marriage.
She worked as a cashier at Casey's general store, where she became familiar and friendly face to countless people.
Those who knew Quintanna described her as a beautiful soul and someone who loved everyone she met. She was a wanderer at heart, but she never lost sight of where home truly was. Her children were her greatest joy and the center of her world.
She is survived by her father, Russ; husband, Travis of Fremont, NE; daughter, Allyssa Godwin of Cedar Bluffs, NE; sons, Ethyn Ankersen, and Maverick Montayne; brother Michael (Nicole) Godwin of Fremont, NE; sister, Erica (Jay) Murray of Cedar Bluffs, NE; and nephews, Jack, Alyxzander, and Barrett.
Quintanna was preceded in death by her mother, Julie; and grandparents, Eugene & Anna Houser.
A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.
