After a hard fought battle with cancer, Ronald H. Moeller died on Aug. 13, 2016, in the hands of his beloved wife, Marsha Moeller, and daughter, Lorie Heineken.
He also leaves behind his three sons, Blaine, Darin and Todd. Ron was blessed with 10 kind-hearted grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws, plus his best friend and furry partner, Elvis.
Ron was born on Feb. 2, 1935, in Hooper to father, Henry, and mother, Edna, who both predeceased him. He grew up in a large, loving home with his brothers, Duane, Robert, and Paul, and sister, Darlene Tegt. Ron proudly served his country in the Navy. Ron relocated to California where he met his partner in life, Marsha, and together, they built a thriving business at Moeller Manufacturing.
Ron was a driven professional and enjoyed golf, antique cars, boating in Lake Arrowhead and spending quality time with his grandchildren. He was an active member of the Elks in Orange for over 50 years. When diagnosed with lung cancer in 2010, he remained dedicated in his work, generous in his philanthropy and steadfast in his will to fight his illness. He remained a brave, iron-willed man, even throughout his final months.
Ron's celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Salem Lutheran Church in Orange, Calif., followed by his burial at Cemetery of the Holy Sepulcher in Orange. The reception will follow at Orange Hill Restaurant.
The family would especially like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of St. Joseph's Hospital for their excellent work, loving care and constant, attentive treatment. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Joseph's Hospital in Orange in honor of Ronald H. Moeller.
