Aaron Christopher Romero was born on December 17, 1976, in Kingsburg, CA. He was the beloved son of Manuel J. Romero and Jocelyn B. Romero. Aaron passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 14, 2014. Aaron grew up in Selma, CA where he attended school and resided. He was a truck driver for several years and worked for Fed-Ex. In 2005, Aaron was blessed with a son, Aaron Christopher Romero II, and in 2013, with a daughter, Avery Erin Romero. He loved both of his children with a passion and considered them his pride and motivation to continue his heroic battle with cancer. Aaron enjoyed being outdoors, especially the coast, a good BBQ, riding his ATV at Pismo, and camping with his brother and their sons. He also enjoyed the daily visits and chats with his sister, and restoring and building vintage BMX bicycles with his son. He was a loyal Oakland Raiders fan and enjoyed watching their games with his "buddies". He also enjoyed watching his son's football, soccer, and baseball games. Aaron was passionate about music and loved to blast his stereo. He was an amazing cook and was known for his clam chowder. He was happiest when he was spending time with his children, family and laughing with friends. Aaron was an incredibly optimistic, easy going person. He was charismatic and had a great sense of humor, generous, kind, light-hearted and loving. Aaron was a spiritual person with a heart of gold and extremely loved. Our memories of him will be treasured as long as we live. He will be greatly missed. The family would like to express a special thank you to Reverend Father Efrain Martinez of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church for his comforting words and spiritual guidance that he shared with Aaron. The family will also be forever grateful for the excellent care and compassion provided by Optimal Hospice Care staff, especially Jose Manalo, RN; Mark Williams, LVN; and Mario Castro; Home Health Aide; his physicians, Dr. Uzair Chaudhary, Oncologist, and Dr. Mark Levy, Neurosurgeon; nurses and staff at University Neurology/Oncology Associates; and Community Regional Medical Center.
