Ahmad Tousi Obituary
June 29, 1944 - November 4, 2023
FRESNO, California - Legendary soccer coach Ahmad Tousi, aged 79, of Fresno, California, passed away on Nov. 04, 2023, in Fresno, CA. He was born on June 29, 1944, in Tehran Iran. He is survived by his Wife, Laleh Son Ali, and wife Lindsey Tousi. He was preceded in death by his son, Ehsan Tousi. Ahmad leaves behind a legacy through his 3 Grandchildren Alexa Tousi, McKay Tousi, Mason Tousi and the thousands of Players he coached throughout his 50 years coaching Carrer.
Tousi earned his master's (1979) and bachelor's degrees (1972) in physical education from Tehran University. Tousi coached the Iranian national team in 1983 and coached in the Iranian football federation between 1978 to 1986. Tousi moved to Fresno in 1987 and began coaching Fresno ORO and Freno city College. He was an assistant head coach at Fresno state from 1989 to 1991 and helped the Bulldogs to back-to-back Big West conference championships in 1990 and 1991.
Tousi coached at Bullard High School from 1990 to 2003. Buchanan High school 2006. Tousi also served as director of coaching at California odyssey, California Dragons.
Tousi won several state and league Titles and was a two-time national champion with California Roadrunners 1996-1997 and in 2006 was national champion with California odyssey. In 1995, Tousi was named California Youth Soccer Boys coach of the Year. In 2006 Tousi went back to Iran to coach Sanat Naft F.C. and later returned to in 2008 to become head coach [California State University, Stanislaus].
A memorial service and burial will be held to honor Ahmad Tousi's memory on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at 10:00am at Clovis., Cemetery., located 305 N Villa Ave, Clovis, CA 93612. Following the service, a celebration of life will take place at 12:00 pm at Copper River Country Club 2140 E Clubhouse Dr, Fresno, CA 93730.
