ALAN RAE PARKER

Alan Rae Parker went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 10, 2018, while surrounded by his loving family. He was a kind, caring and compassionate man who had a passion for sailing, reading and telling stories of his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Elva; brothers, M.L., Jack, and Dale. Alan is survived by his wife of 14 years, Nancy Wing Parker, her daughter, Donya Avila, and grandchildren, Mitchell and Scott Avila; his children, Erin, Matthew and his wife Kimberly, Zachary, and Lindsey Parker; his sister, Patricia Byers; his brother, David Parker and wife Liz; Vernon and Kathy Vercoe, who thought of Alan like a son; numerous nieces, nephews. and friends who all loved him. A Celebration of Alan's Life will be held at Northwest Church located at 5415 N. West Ave., Fresno, CA, on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. There will be a luncheon immediately following the service at the church.
