A member of a close knit Italian family, he was destined to choose medicine as his life's vocation as there were four Doctors in the Torre Family in San Franciso to mentor him. He served on the staff of St. Agnes Hospital for many years, and also consulted at The Veterans Admin-istration Hospital in Fresno. Upon retiring from his practice or 25 years he later served as Medical Director for The Equitable Life Insurance Company at their Fresno Regional Center, and later for the Social Security Administration. A devout Catholic, he was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish, and a supporter of the Nazareth House retirement home. A talented musician, Dr. Torre, in his spare time enjoyed playing the clarinet in a Fresno Community Concert Band, and a Dixieland Jazz Band. I am so sorry to hear of Al's passing. My memories of Al are from Clear Lake. What memorable times those were. Sondra and I became good friends, and she has kept me informed of the Lifes and times of the whole Torre family. What a special family the Torres are , and that is due to the love of Al and Norma in creating such a wonderful family. I know Al has passed , but his Spirit is very much with us all. My prayers are with Norma and all of the chidren. God bless the Torre family.

Me this Christmas, MUCH older than when you last saw me!

I am so sorry to hear of Al's passing. I was just talking about him today with one of my co-workers and looked him up on the web to see if I could find him. His picture looks so much the same as how I remember him from, wow, almost 24 years ago when I worked for him. He was a great employer and friend. My prayers are with all of you.

Sorry to hear about Al. I'll always remember the times the Torre family looked after the Montague kids while up in Clearlake. Some of my favorite memories are from those years. My best regards to Norma and the family.
