BEVERLY JEAN MIGUEL ROCHA

Beverly Miguel Rocha, a resident of Los Osos, CA, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018, at French Medical Hospital in San Luis Obispo, CA, surrounded by loved ones. She was 84 years old. Born in July of 1933, to parents, Emma and Anthony Miguel, Beverly spent her young life growing up in Easton, CA. She graduated from Washington Union High School, along the way forming lifelong friendships. She also attended college at Reedley College. Beverly met the love of her life, Manual Rocha, who preceeded her in death 18 years prior, at a Portuguese celebration when he asked her to "dance". They were married for 48 years, and lived in Fresno County. Beverly enjoyed being a wife and homemaker and caring for their family. Beverly also enjoyed working after her family had grown. She worked at Del Monte Cannery and was a USDA Raisin Inspector in Fresno County. She retired with her husband in 1993, to their "Ranch" in Los Osos, CA. She enjoyed horticulture, gardening, knitting, cooking for family and friends, and had an adoration for the sea. She never met a stranger, always ready to offer a kind word and open heart to everyone she met. Beverly is survived by her sister, Shirley Miguel Burton and husband Steve; her children, Lawrence Rocha and wife Nancy, Jean Raymond and husband George, Lynn Covey and husband Billy, and Mark Rocha; her grandchildren, Patricia Kilian and husband Brian, Christopher Hinson and wife Jaime, Michelle Witt and husband Will, Celeste Fries and husband Ryan, Laura Rocha, and Julie Rocha; her great-grandchildren, Brady Kilian, Sydney Fries, Jackson Fries, Colin Kilian, Raymond Witt, Gia Kilian, and Micah Hinson; and a very large Portuguese extended family and loving friends. The family would like to thank Pat Lewis, for her friendship, love and care during Beverly's time of need. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 2050 Palisades Ave., Los Osos, CA 93402 on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., with a Mass to be held at 11:00 a.m. Lunch will be served at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church Hall.
