CHARLES HOLLINS

Charles Hollins was born to Shirley and Carrie Hollins on February 21, 1923, in Kitts, KY. He worked as a printer for the Fresno Guide newspaper. He retired after 24 years of service in 1981. Charles then worked for Grundfos Pump Corp. and retired from the work force in 1985. Charles passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at the age of 92. Charles enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps in January of 1943, and was stationed in the Asiatic- Pacific Theatre. He was discharged from the 484th Bomb Squadron 505th Bomb Group in February of 1946. He married Juanita Brewster of Amarillo, TX on May 31, 1945, in Alamogordo, NM. They lived in Fort Wayne, IN until 1957, and moved to Clovis, CA in August of 1957. Charles was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Juanita Hollins, in 1999. He is survived by his children, Dewayne Hollins and his wife Cathie, Becky Rickerd and husband Smokey, and Ric Hollins and wife Nancy. Charles also leaves behind seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
