David Foreman Obituary

David R. Foreman
December 27, 1938 - August 8, 2023
Tollhouse, California - David was born in Martin's Ferry, Ohio on December 27th, 1938 and left us on August 8th, 2023. Son of the late Ann Marie Stanley Chini and Henry J. Chini.
Dave enjoyed a carefree youth where he could run and explore the countryside with his dog, Bouncer and return home hours later. He took care of his grandmother during her final days and had a loving relationship with his mother Ann and sisters Sue and Diane.
He graduated from Dennison High School in Ohio in 1957 and attended Ohio State University. While in the Navy in 1959 he asked a buddy to introduce him to an "Italian girl" and this led to him meeting Sandra Lencioni. Nine days later they eloped to Nevada where they were married. The family grew with the addition of three children – Dino, Maria and Derek.
In 1975, the family moved from Fresno to the foothill area. Many lifelong friends were made during this time. Dave enjoyed trips to the coast, hunting, fishing, football games at Sierra High School and camping trips in the Sierras. Dave especially enjoyed the many hunting and fishing trips with his buddies and two sons. He was also the guy to call if any of his kids were stranded or in trouble away from home.
While working in the high country, Dave would bring his favorite dog, a black lab named Beau to work with him. Beau loved breaking trail for him as he walked through the deep snow.
Dave was a deeply committed husband and father. His devotion and love for his wife was unmistakable and unconditional. Dave loved his family and especially looked forward to family gatherings and sharing in a great meal. David was a hardworking, well respected, loving man who made friends easily and helped others whenever he could.
In later years, Dave's happy place was spending time in his garden, tinkering in his shop, listening to oldies but goodies and mowing the back 40. Dave was also an excellent cook and enjoyed planning and preparing meals.
He worked for the City of Fresno, the Auberry Sawmill, Sierra Elementary School, the Helm's Creek Project, Diablo Canyon and retired as a Water Treatment Supervisor for Fresno County at Shaver Lake.
David will be dearly missed by family and friends as a loving, caring and thoughtful husband, father and friend always going the extra mile.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra of Tollhouse. Children – Dino and wife Silvia, Maria Payne and Derek Foreman. Grandchildren – Sarena and Sabrina Foreman, Brandon Lang and wife Bernice, Tommy Payne and wife Anne, Joey Payne and wife Sarah. Tristan, Veil, Boone, Landie & Scout Foreman, and great granddaughter Divya Lang. Sister - Diane Chini of Ohio.
Services will be held at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Tollhouse, CA at 32054 Whispering Springs Lane, Tollhouse, CA 93667 (corner of Lodge Road and Whispering Springs Lane) on September 8th at 11:00 a.m. Mass with refreshments following.

I have wonderful memories of Dave. The family gatherings, his sweet spirit and devotion to my cousin, Sandy. I always admired their relationship; definitely blessed by God. I´m so glad that I had the pleasure of knowing Dave. Wow, Sandy I forgot it was only 9 days. Good for you, you weren´t going to let a good one go by. My love to you and your family, God bless you with his peace, comfort and the blessings of memories. Sharon
