DAVID TUTTLE Obituary

The world became a happier place when David Wm. Tuttle was born on December 16, 1947. His parents Ernest and Helen Tuttle were given a loving and devoted son. David flourished in Reedley where he learned lessons about people that were to guide him for a lifetime. He met Deborah Stanton at a Huntington Lake dance in 1965. They were married in 1970 and were blessed with sons, Justin, Matthew, Luke and Jack. David was a graduate of Reedley College, University of California, Santa Barbara and received an MBA degree at Golden Gate University. He later earned a PhD. He enjoyed wearing the orange colors of Reedley College and relished sharing his educational and life experiences. After starting his own CPA practice he was joined by Deborah to establish Tuttle & Tuttle CPA's. He enjoyed his personal connections with his clients and professional friends. David not only had an interest in connecting with people, he also found joy with his animals, including his donkey Sparky. David always tried to make each person's day a little brighter. This is how he would like to be remembered. He is also survived by brother Ernest and his wife Linda; and sister Kay and her husband David Harris. He was blessed with beautiful grandsons. David was loved by all the "Stanton girls" and his daughters-in-law. A Rosary Vigil will be held at St. Paul Newman Center on Friday, August 24, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. followed by a Mass on Saturday, August 25. 2012, at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Poverello House or Peaceful Valley Donkey Rescue.

Dear Deborah and family. I was so saddened to hear about David's death. It came as quite a surprise to me. Yet, I take hope in the fact that David was a good man with a big heart and gentle spirit. His faith was known and his legacy is his family. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers. Perhaps we can get together when I'm in the Fresno area. Blessings to you.

Dear Deborah,
I remain saddened to learn of Dave's passing. Dave did indeed have the ability to connect with people and in doing so made the world a better place.
About six weeks ago I was having lunch at a small Armenia restaurant in northeast Fresno. I was just finishing my meal when Dave walked in to pick up a 'to go' order. We had a great conversation. And yes, that conversation did brighten my day.
I will never forget the evening in Los Angles when I baby sat Justin. You two were off to a Jerry Lee Lewis concert (I think in Hollywood). To this day, every time I hear the song 'Great Balls of Fire' I think of David.
You and your family remain in my thoughts and prayers.
With deepest sympathy,
Jim Setrakian

David was one of my best friends and one of the happiest people I have ever known. He adored his wife and children. I never saw anyone so demonstratively affectionate with his family. Many years ago I worked for him, and he was one of the best bosses I ever had. Over the years we swapped stories and advice on tax issues and practic management. He was unpretentious, sincere, and lived life always on the sunny side. Somehow I know he is delighting St. Peter as I write this.

Debbie, I'm saddened by Dave's death, but sure of his new continuing life in a realm of light and fullfillment. My prayers for you and your family continue.
I remember well the good times we had at the Newman Center many years ago, and our time in Mariposa at the Butterfly Festival was it?

We will miss him stopping by just to say hi on his way to get a haircut next door and his stories. No one else had his flair for unique frames and custom tints. He will dearly be missed! Our hearts go out to his family.
